Alabama Football Team ‘Ready to Silence That Weak Jump Song’ Against Wisconsin

The Alabama football team didn’t want to settle for “Jump Around” at Camp Randall Stadium. The Crimson Tide wanted to stop it.

After the game, Alabama wide receiver Germie Bernard was asked about the team’s statement against Wisconsin. He didn’t mince his words.

“Honestly, we had a tough week of practice listening to that jump song,” Alabama wide receiver Germie Bernard said. “We were ready to shut that stupid jump song down.”

Alabama beat Wisconsin 42-10 on Saturday, a rout of the first Power 4 opponent the Crimson Tide has faced this season.

And not only did the Crimson Tide (3-0) make a statement, they also took advantage of Camp Randall tradition. When “Jump Around” began playing late in the third quarter, the Crimson Tide … jumped around.

“We were on the sidelines jumping for joy, excited and enjoying the cohesion of our team,” Bernard said.

Alabama had reason to be excited, Bernard in particular. He scored his first touchdown with the Crimson Tide. The offense made big plays and the defense took takedowns. It resulted in a big road win, the first of the Kalen DeBoer era at Alabama.
