5th Annual Meet a Machine Event Held at Augusta Regional Airport

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Early Saturday’s rain and clouds didn’t stop the fifth annual Meet a Machine event at the Augusta Regional Airport.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and proceeds from the event benefited the Children’s Hospital Miracle Network.

At the airport, people were able to interact with different trucks and machines, from EMS vehicles to airplanes and more.

“As an airport, we love to host community events. We want everyone to come see our facilities and learn more about the airport. We can’t be successful without the community, so this is our way of giving back,” said Lauren Smith, assistant director of marketing.
