Dallas police release photos of man caught on camera in downtown assault

Dallas police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of assaulting a woman in downtown Dallas.

Around 1:15 p.m. Thursday, a woman was assaulted in the 1300 block of Elm Street, police said. Video obtained by The Dallas Morning News It shows a woman standing on a street corner near Elm Street as a man approaches her and hits her with an object.

The woman then falls to the ground as the man walks away. In the short clip, people are seen walking near the woman as she lies on the ground.

Police said Friday that the woman was taken to hospital after the incident.
