After a crushing loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is ready to learn from his and his team’s mistakes and turn things around.

“We’re going to learn from this. They were a good team,” Prescott said, per Jon Machota of The Athletic. “You’ve got to give them credit. It’s the NFL. … It’s about trusting the process and responding. I know we have the guys to do it. Honestly, I’m looking forward to getting back to work and turning the page.”

The Cowboys looked strong in their Week 1 win over the Cleveland Browns, but were exposed in Sunday’s 44-19 loss to New Orleans.

While he had 293 passing yards and a touchdown, he also had two interceptions and a fumble. His Week 1 performance didn’t turn any heads either, as he only had 179 passing yards and a touchdown.

But Prescott and the offense were far from the only ones to blame for Sunday’s loss. The Saints’ offense overwhelmed Dallas’ defense, with Derek Carr passing for 243 yards and two touchdowns, while running back Alvin Kamara rushed for 115 yards and three touchdowns. It was the second straight week that New Orleans lost by 40 points or more.

But it’s not time for the Cowboys to panic just yet. They’ll have a chance to turn things around and get a big win against one of the AFC’s best teams when they face the Baltimore Ravens at home next week.

If there’s ever a time to suffer a crushing home loss, it’s in Week 2 rather than the playoffs, which the Cowboys have become accustomed to in recent seasons.
