Demi Moore Gives Update on Ex-Husband Bruce Willis’ Health During Interview with Drew Barrymore

Demi Moore has given an update on her ex-husband Bruce Willis’ health, while she and fellow actor Drew Barrymore have opened up about their first encounters with the action star.

Moore, 61, shares three daughters with Willis, who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) last year.

Willis and Moore met at the premiere of the action-comedy film MonitoringThey married in 1987 after a whirlwind four-month romance, before announcing their separation in 1998 due to “irreconcilable differences”.

In an episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, The host recalled filming with Willis on the set of Charlie’s Angels in 2003.

“When we did it Charlie’s Angels“Bruce came in and played on it, he opened the movie and we got to work with him,” Barrymore recalls.

Moore, who also starred in the film, said: “I had completely forgotten about it.”

They remembered knowing Willis from his days as a bartender at Café Central in New York. Barrymore then asked Moore how Hard trap the actor was now doing.

“I think he’s doing, you know, given the data, he’s in a stable position,” The substance star explained.

“You know, what I tell my kids is, meet them where they are. Don’t hold on to who they were or who you want them to be, but who they are right now.”

“And out of that comes such beauty, such joy, such love, such sweetness. When I’m in Los Angeles, I go there every week and I really appreciate the time we all share together.”

It was first revealed in March 2022 that Bruce Willis had been diagnosed with aphasia, a language disorder caused by brain damage that can cause difficulty understanding, speaking, reading or writing.

Last year, his daughter Rumer provided an update explaining that he had been diagnosed with a “more specific” frontotemporal dementia (FTD), a “rare and aggressive” form of the disease.

FTD is an umbrella term for a group of dementias that primarily affect the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain, responsible for factors such as personality, behaviour, language and speech, according to Dementia UK.

Earlier this year, Moore shared a touching tribute to the father of her children on his 69th birthday.

Moore shared three photos, showing the couple chatting on the couch, Willis playing with his granddaughter and an old photo of him with his three daughters.

She captioned the post with the following message: “Happy Birthday, BW! We love you and are so grateful.”
