What would make you the best choice for the Spring ISD Board of Trustees?

I am the best candidate for the board of directors because I am compassionate, humble, an active listener and I make goal-oriented decisions.

What will be your biggest priorities if you are elected?

If elected, my top priority will be student success, through strong partnerships with parents and teachers.

How would you help the district prepare for budget challenges if the Texas Legislature does not allocate additional funding for public education during the 89th session?

To address budget challenges, I will start by listening to the people affected on a daily basis. From there, I will use my problem-solving skills to help find practical solutions.

SISD student enrollment has dropped by about 6 percent over the past decade. How do you plan to help improve SISD student attendance and enrollment?

Addressing parent and student concerns is essential to improving enrollment.

What would make you the best choice for the Spring ISD Board of Trustees?

I am fully committed to SISD. Over the past three years, I have dedicated myself to improving the student experience and outcomes by asking tough questions, engaging with the community, and proposing innovative solutions. With 13 years of experience in education and extensive board training, I understand what our schools need.

What will be your biggest priorities if you are elected?

My top priority is ensuring that every SISD student is seen, safe, and supported. I will prioritize high-quality education and improving student outcomes, holding us accountable for meeting the diverse needs of our learners, and actively engaging families, educators, staff, and students in decision-making to continually improve our district.

How would you help the district prepare for budget challenges if the Texas Legislature does not allocate additional funding for public education during the 89th session?

Since 2021, I have worked to address budget challenges related to the pandemic, inflation, and limited state funding. I have put in place tools to make strategic budget decisions focused on student impact, helping to reduce our deficit by $13 million. I will continue to work to secure the resources students need, including advocating for increased state funding.

SISD student enrollment has dropped by about 6 percent over the past decade. How do you plan to help improve SISD student attendance and enrollment?

SISD offers full-day preschool, schools of choice, a nationally recognized arts program, and 33 career pathways from automotive to animation. I will proudly showcase our district’s innovations and successes to attract families. I will also continue to strengthen community engagement and amplify student voices to identify solutions to improve our district.
