Have Hamas Hostage Killings Changed Opinions?

Have Hamas Hostage Killings Changed Opinions?

Tuesday, September 17, 2024

The killing of six Israeli hostages by Hamas terrorists has had no major impact on general sympathies in the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online poll finds that 20 percent of likely American voters say that looking at the history of Israel and Palestine makes them more sympathetic to Palestinians. That’s up slightly from 19 percent in May. Forty-nine percent (49 percent) now say they are more sympathetic to Israelis, compared to 53 percent in the previous poll. Thirty-one percent are unsure.
