UAW’s Shawn Fain addresses members

UAW President Shawn Fain has been highly critical of Stellantis, particularly in recent weeks, and he plans to address UAW members at 7 p.m. today on the union’s social media channels.

You can follow his comments live here, and we’ll be covering his remarks, so be sure to check back with freep.com to get that story.

As a reminder, the union filed unfair labor practice charges this week against the automaker that owns the Jeep, Ram, Chrysler, Dodge and Fiat brands and accused the company of trying to move production of the Dodge Durango out of the United States, which the union says would be a violation of its contract with the company.

Stellantis denies any breach of contract, saying recently that it “will communicate its plans to the UAW at the appropriate time,” but has not responded to questions about the Durango situation.
