Larmarion Bethany indicted for murder of Demylah Nixon-Johnson

DECATUR, Ala. (WAFF) – A Decatur man accused of shooting a 16-year-old girl dead was indicted by a grand jury.

Larmarion Bethany, 18, was indicted on Friday, Sept. 13 for reckless murder.

He’s accused of killing Demylah Nixon-Johnson at a block party in Sheffield on July 24.

Police don’t believe Nixon-Johnson was the intended target of the shooting.

Bethany is currently in the Colbert County Jail without bond.

He is scheduled to be spidered on Oct. 3.
