‘The People We Meet on Vacation’: Lucien Laviscount, Jameela Jamil and More Join the Cast

The highly anticipated film adaptation of the bestselling novel “The People We Meet on Holiday” has four new cast members.

On Wednesday, it was announced that “Emily in Paris” star Lucien Laviscount and “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” actress Jameela Jamil would be joining the cast.

Sarah Catherine Hook and Lukas Gage have also been announced as part of the cast.

Jamil shared his excitement about the project on his Instagram Story, writing, “This is so much fun!!!!!” in the caption above a news headline about the project.

In his Instagram story, Hook wrote: “Bringing back rom-coms one holiday at a time.”

In August, it was announced that “My Lady Jane” actress Emily Bader and “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds” “& Snakes” actor Tom Blyth will play Poppy and Alex, the two main characters in Emily Henry’s beloved romance novel.

The book follows Poppy and Alex, two best friends who live apart but meet up every summer for a week’s vacation, “until two years ago, when they ruined everything,” the novel’s synopsis reads.

When Poppy finds herself “stuck in a rut,” she “decides to convince her best friend to take another vacation together – to put it all on the table, to make everything okay,” the synopsis continues.

It has not yet been announced which characters Hook, Gage, Laviscount, and Jamil will play.

Brett Haley is set to direct the upcoming project.
