Man wanted for motel murder surrenders to police

ROCKY MOUNT, NC (WITN) – A man wanted in connection with the murder at an Eastern Carolina motel has turned himself in.

Jessie Johnson, Jr. is being held without bail in Sunday’s murder at Hal Orr’s Inn in Rocky Mount.

Police say Mack Jenkins, 39, was shot after an argument at the Wesleyan Boulevard motel.

Two other people have been charged by police with aiding and abetting murder.
