Auburn Football Season’s First Availability Report Status Updates

Auburn Football Season’s First Availability Report Status Updates

As Auburn prepares for its Southeastern Conference opener of the season, it released its first official availability report Wednesday night.

Reports are required by the SEC for each team playing in a conference game this week. Teams must list players as “available,” “probable,” “questionable” or “out” for each game.

The first report comes out three days before each match (Wednesday for Saturday matches) and will be updated daily until a pre-report 90 minutes before kick-off.

Here’s Auburn’s first availability report for Saturday’s game against Arkansas:

  • CB Kayin Lee – Probable
  • DB Champ Anthony- Probable
  • WR Cam Coleman – Doubtful
  • OT Izavion Miller – Uncertain
  • CB Antonio Kite – Uncertain
  • K Alex McPherson – Questionable
  • BY Amaris Williams – Doubtful
  • TE Brandon Frazier – Out
  • CB Tyler Scott – Out

The biggest names to watch here are Coleman and Miller, who both missed last week’s game with injuries. Both players were present during the open portion of Tuesday’s practice, but Coleman wore a non-contact jersey.

Camden Brown started in place of Coleman against New Mexico and his performance could earn him another start if Coleman is unable to play Saturday.

Lee and Anthony are both expected to play. Lee missed the game against New Mexico with a calf injury, but Freeze said Monday the decision to hold him out was more of a precautionary measure. Anthony suffered a similar injury in Week 1 but played the next two weeks.

McPherson has yet to play for Auburn this season, still recovering from a gastrointestinal illness.

The two rather unexpected additions to the report are Williams and Kite. Freeze has yet to give any details on what is limiting the two players.

Freeze said Monday that Frazier will miss an “extended period” with a broken foot suffered against New Mexico.
