Bruce Odle, President

Bruce is President of Imagn Images and, since May 2008, has been responsible for overall management, business development and strategic partnerships. He has played a key role in growing the company into the largest sports-focused photo wire service in the United States, and he managed the company’s acquisition by Gannett Co. in August 2011 and its recent transition to a standalone company.

Prior to joining Imagn Images, Bruce was co-founder, COO and in-house counsel of a learning technology company that grew from a start-up to a market leader in ten years. His responsibilities included raising $10 million in private equity, managing shareholder relations and securing strategic partnerships for global sales and distribution. He also managed the spin-off of a sports performance division where he oversaw product development and beta testing with 50 college teams and 100 professional athletes from the NBA, NFL and NHL. Bruce practiced business and corporate law as a partner at the Indianapolis law firm of Cromer and Eaglesfield. He also served as special counsel on agribusiness issues to Indiana Senator Richard Lugar.

He is a graduate of Purdue University and Drake University School of Law, with international law studies at Notre Dame Law School in London, England. He currently lives in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Justin Weiss, Vice President of Sales

As Vice President of Sales, Justin is responsible for growing the photo business by expanding relationships with existing clients and creating new ones. With the explosion of new content channels, Weiss helps shape the company’s vision and strategy to grow the image licensing and image wire services business. This includes leading the expansion of Imagn’s sports image wire service, which is the largest in North America and covers over 10,000 sporting events annually.

Justin was previously Vice President of Sales for the Americas at Getty Images, where he spent more than 21 years at the media company. Weiss was responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue and oversaw a sales team of more than 200 people. Justin managed key client relationships and was responsible for the company’s largest global transactions.

Justin lives in New York City and is married with two children. He enjoys the outdoors, especially fishing, loves all animals, and snowboards whenever he can. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland – Go Terps!

Jerry Lai, Senior Director of Editorial Content

Jerry is the Director of Editorial Content. He is responsible for the overall management of photo production and leads the company’s editorial team. In addition to being a highly accomplished photographer himself, Jerry oversees the management of the company’s workflow standards and criteria. He has led the editorial and news operations since 2009 and has taken them to new levels while maintaining a high level of service and support to meet client needs.

Jerry’s extensive experience in photojournalism prior to joining us includes serving as a contributing photographer on news, sports and entertainment assignments for all major news services, including the Associated Press, Getty Images and Reuters.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University.

Kristi Guerriero, Senior Photo Operations Manager

Kristi is the Photo Operations Manager. Her primary responsibility is the management and coordination of Imagn’s national network of professional sports photographers. She serves as the company’s liaison for coverage and business matters regarding leagues, national editorial accounts, and creative accounts.

Kristi has extensive experience in sports photography production, business, and large-scale staff management. Prior to joining Imagn Images, she was the Production Manager and Player Relations Manager for Tristar Productions. Kristi has over 20 years of experience in sports licensing, player and team relations, photo editing, and creative development at AP Images, The Upper Deck Company, Fleer Trading Cards, and ESPN The Magazine.

Kristi is a graduate of Penn State and resides outside of New York in Point Pleasant, NJ.

James Lang, Chief Technology Officer

James serves as Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for developing, executing and effectively managing Imagn Images’ technology strategies. He is also responsible for the global infrastructure that supports the business needs of the company’s media members, clients and partners.

James has over 15 years of experience in the information technology and software development fields. Beyond his efforts in the technology field, James has always had a simultaneous passion for photojournalism and worked as a freelance photographer until joining us full-time in 2012.

James is a proud graduate of Virginia Tech and resides outside of Philadelphia with his wife and three children.
