Jets list CJ Mosley as doubtful for Thursday night

Jets linebacker CJ Mosley put his chances to play through a toe injury against the Patriots on Thursday night at 50-50 on Tuesday and the team did the same thing on Wednesday.

Mosley is officially listed as doubtful for the AFC East clash. Mosley, who did not participate in practice this week, left last Sunday’s game against the Titans in the first half and did not return to action.

Mosley has 10 tackles through the first two weeks of the season. Jamien Sherwood replaced Mosley last week and would play alongside Quincy Williams if Mosley can’t play Thursday.

The Jets are expected to return cornerback DJ Reed after he missed the game against the Titans with a knee injury. He is injury-free for Thursday, while the only player sidelined is defensive end Jermaine Johnson. Johnson tore his Achilles tendon against Tennessee.
