18-wheeler truck catches fire in Keithville

KEITHVILLE, La. (KSLA) – Occupants are safe after the back of an 18-wheeler truck caught fire on Preston Road.

On Sept. 19, Caddo Fire District 4 responded to a reported fire in the 7800 block of Preston Road in Keithville. Upon arrival less than eight minutes later, firefighters encountered an 18-wheeler truck carrying salt water that caught fire in the back of the truck.

The occupants of the truck escaped unharmed.

Firefighters deployed hoses and extinguished the flames within minutes of arriving.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
