NFL fines Derek Carr for celebrating Michael Jackson dance | Saints

Derek Carr’s wallet was hit by a skilled criminal.

The NFL has fined the New Orleans Saints quarterback $14,000 for grabbing his crotch during a Michael Jackson-themed touchdown celebration in last weekend’s win over the Dallas Cowboys, according to a report from Pro Football Talk.

Carr said after the game that he was looking forward to emulating Jackson after a conversation with his brothers.

“I was a dancer in my day,” Carr said. “Don’t let the four kids rule you. I had to lure their mother in somehow.”

“They see me all the time at weddings or birthdays,” he said. “I dance all the time. One time I hit Michael Jackson, and they said, ‘Bro, you’ve got to do this one time when you score a touchdown.'”

Carr was not penalized on the field for the celebration, but the league fined him a few days later.
