Person of interest in murder investigation arrested at Huntington Hotel

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) — A man considered a person of interest in a double homicide investigation in Richmond, Virginia, was arrested at a Huntington hotel, according to U.S. Marshals.

The CUFFED Task Force confirms that Xavier Perkins was found in a hotel on Route 60.

Perkins is a person of interest in a double homicide case and is also wanted for evading electronic home monitoring, failing to appear in circuit court on narcotics charges and failing to appear in court on a probation violation.

U.S. Marshals say Perkins is actively evading law enforcement.

Perkins is in the Western Regional Jail.
