Devin Strader Breaks Silence, Defends Arrest, Restraining Order Reports

Devin Strader remained largely silent following The Bachelorette finale.

That’s when viewers got Jenn Tran’s side of what happened when the cameras stopped rolling and her relationship with Devin turned sour.

Since then, Devin has been Bachelor Nation’s least favorite winner and has remained mostly quiet.

Meanwhile, Jenn’s star is on the rise. She made her first appearance on Dancing With the Stars this week and danced to her anthem, Flowers by Miley Cyrus.

Devin’s reputation took another hit after Reality Steve did some digging and revealed his past arrest and a restraining order that kept him away from a former girlfriend.

The news sent Bachelor Nation into overdrive, with many viewers wondering how he even made it onto the show.

Today, Devin is speaking out to clear his name.

Devin Strader says the story is more complex

On Thursday morning, Devin took to his Instagram Story with an explanation in his defense.

It all started with The Bachelorette winner apologizing again for speaking out last week in another attempt to defend himself.

In the video, which was taken down almost as quickly as it was uploaded, he told fans that his breakup with Jenn Tran was more mutual than he let on. He even showed several screenshots of conversations between them to prove it before eventually taking down the video and apologizing for sharing sensitive information.

In his final message, he called Jenn a “very special person” and said he wished her “nothing but the best.”

He then came to the latest allegations that he was arrested and even made subject to a restraining order following problems with his university girlfriend.

He wrote: “More recently, difficulties relating to a difficult period in my past have been raised and seriously misinterpreted.”

He continued: “The allegations are simply unfounded as I never inappropriately touched another person or treated my ex-girlfriend in the manner described. This protective order was never granted and has been dismissed in its entirety.”

Devin went on to explain that he and this particular ex-girlfriend even got back together after the drama and eventually split on good terms.

It’s not really clear if this is the case, because there are always two sides to every story. It would be interesting if Devin’s ex-girlfriend could tell us what really happened between them.

Bachelorette viewers demanded even more apologies from Jenn Tran as allegations against Devin Strader surfaced.

Former Bachelorette star Katie Thurston even spoke out, saying the executive producers owe her an apology for how the season went.

Considering Devin’s history with his ex-girlfriend as well as the accusations against runner-up Marcus Shoberg, it seems like they could vet the men chosen for the show a little better.

The Bachelorette is currently on hiatus on ABC.
