The twins who played baby Emma on Friends have given hope to a popular fan theory decades after the show first aired.

Cali and Noelle Sheldon, both 22, took turns playing Rachel and Ross’ little girl on the iconic sitcom, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this weekend and is still beloved by fans around the world.

Ever since Rachel got off the plane and the show ended in 2004, fans have wondered if Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer’s characters have managed to stand the test of time as a couple.

As for the Sheldon sisters, the couple is still going strong after all these years.

“They’re definitely still together in my opinion,” Cali said during a Zoom interview that aired on Friday’s episode of Good Morning Britain, while Noelle agreed: “Yeah, of course!”

Meanwhile, Cali predicted that Emma grew up sharing qualities from both of her parents, taking after Rachel’s fashion sense and Ross’ love of all things “nerdy.”

“Emma is definitely the perfect blend of both her parents,” she said. “She definitely looks like her mother, I’m sure she’s been looking through Rachel’s closet.”

“And then, I have a bit of a nerdy side. Personally, I love dinosaurs (laughs), I’m a big fan of the T-Rex.”

Although they are only babies in the show – twins were required to play the role as part of the acting rules regarding young people on set – the sisters are delighted to have been part of something special and have even told GMB they would love to move into the world of television behind the scenes.

“It’s really cool to be a part of a show that’s older than us,” Noelle said. “Friends has been a part of pop culture and television history since we were babies. I’m really grateful.”

Meanwhile, Jennifer herself previously supported the idea that Ross and Rachel’s romance had continued, and she even predicted that Emma would have siblings of her own.

“They are absolutely 100 percent together,” she told The Hollywood Reporter in 2018. “They have more kids!”

And while co-creator Marta Kauffman predicted Emma would seek therapy, she told the outlet, “I think they would still be together.”

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV1.
