Tammy Slaton has shared a message for her fans struggling with weight and mental health issues.

Tammy Slaton reached out to fans who may be struggling with their weight or mental health in a new Instagram video, telling them, “You are safe here.”

On September 19, the The 1000 Pound Sisters The star, 38, posted a video on her Instagram page welcoming her new followers.

“If you’re new here, my name is Tammy. Some of my friends call me Queen Tammy. You can do that too if you want,” said Slaton, who uses the nickname Queen Tammy online.

“Here on my page you will find motivation, reality and hopefully inspiration to continue your journey.”

Slaton spoke about his own weight loss experience, saying, “Whether you’ve lost 500 pounds like I did, or you’ve lost almost all of your weight, or you’re struggling with depression or you don’t know what to do tomorrow, just know that you’re safe here.”

Slaton kept the positive vibes going in the caption, where she wrote, “🌟Welcome to All the New Faces! 🌟I’m so happy you chose to follow my page! Here you’ll find motivation, inspiration, and advice that has helped me become the woman I know I’m meant to be.”

She continued, “Whether you are on your own journey of transformation or simply looking for a positive space, I am so excited to have you here. Let’s keep moving forward together! 💪💖”

Slaton, who announced in August that she had lost a total of 500 pounds, recently shared that she “wouldn’t have gotten this big” if she had mental health support.

“The mental aspect plays a big part. I was depressed and I had a food addiction, I was emotionally eating, I was taking it out on food. There are so many things that can go wrong. Life is scary,” said Slaton, who weighed 717 pounds at her peak.

She recently teamed up with Pop Recovery Systems, which promotes emotional and physical support for those who have undergone bariatric surgery — which Slaton underwent in 2022.

Through the program, which she calls her “backbone,” Slaton said she’s been able to gain emotional support from people going through similar journeys as she continues to manage her health.

“I turned to food for a while,” she said. “But I became aware of it and am now back on track.”
