Bemidji Area Dog Reading Program Announces New Interns

The Bemidji Area Reading Canine Program is proud to announce three new teams that have completed the required training. They are Bonnie Wright and Charlie, Bonnie Neumann and Willow, and Soni Morgan and Luke.

They will join other BARC teams serving children at the Boys and Girls Club of Bemidji, Heartland Christian Academy, Schoolcraft Learning Community, Horace May Elementary School, Laporte School, Cass Lake/Bena Elementary School, JW Smith Elementary School and the Bemidji Public Library.

The Bemidji Area Reading Canines are therapy dogs who volunteer with their owners/handlers as a team, visiting schools, libraries and many other locations as reading companions for children, a release said.
