Kate Middleton isn’t expected to be the peacemaker in Prince William and Prince Harry’s feud, but her battle with cancer may have played a role in the slightly thawed relationship royal fans have been seeing since the Duke of Sussex’s 40th birthday on September 15. It was downright shocking to see the Prince and Princess of Wales celebrate Harry’s birthday, especially since things have been pretty frosty in recent years.

While some reports believe William was pressured by King Charles III to share a birthday message for Prince Harry, The mirror It appears William “reassessed” the situation amid his wife’s cancer battle. Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond wrote: “My gut feeling is that Catherine played a part in this slight softening of her husband’s relentless stance. In the film she made about the end of her chemotherapy, she talked about how cancer had given her a new perspective.”

In Kate’s September 10 health update, she shared a film clip of her journey and talked about how the past year has changed their lives. “With humility, it also confronts your own vulnerabilities in a way you never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything,” the Princess of Wales explained. “This time has especially reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple but important things in life that so many of us often take for granted. The simple act of loving and being loved.”

Bond believes Kate may have “persuaded William that life is too short for grudges” and that the “birthday wishes posted on the Royal Family’s main website are also a sign of a possible thaw in relations between Harry and his father”. However, no one should see this as anything other than a “tentative first step”. The note to Harry did not include William and Kate’s personal initials “W & C” to add some warmth, making it purely a publicity gesture from the palace for a milestone birthday.

Kate has been repeatedly described as the royal family’s “peacemaker”. The latest request reportedly came last December after Omid Scobie resigned. End of game Meghan Markle’s biography has revealed allegations that Kate and Charles were the culprits behind Prince Archie’s skin colour before he was born. “Shortly after the book’s allegations were published, Kate reached out to Meghan to clarify matters,” a royal spokesperson said. In touch every week “This feud has gotten so out of control and obscene that it is starting to overshadow his reign and the entire monarchy. He wants to heal the rift once and for all. Charles has forced Kate to become his peacemaker,” an insider said.

It’s hard to see a way out of the royal family feud since it’s been going on for so long, but that’s the cross William, Harry and King Charles have to bear: Kate doesn’t need to be dragged into the middle of the storm.
