PennDOT announces closure of I-80 Exit 192 in Clinton County beginning September 23 | News, Sports, Jobs

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is advising the public that the Interstate 80 Exit 192 (Jersey Shore) off-ramps in Clinton County will be temporarily closed for a resurfacing project beginning Monday. This work will improve the ride quality and safety of the off-ramps for area motorists.

Beginning Monday, September 23, the westbound Exit 192 ramp will be closed while a contractor completes concrete patching, paving, drainage improvements and line painting. Traffic control schemes will direct motorists off the highway at Exit 185 during the closures, instead of accessing the Exit 192 exit ramps. This closure is expected to last seven days.

Once the ramp reopens, work to complete the project will continue on the highway shoulders. The closure and detours will then move to the eastbound exit where the same work will be completed.

Glenn O. Hawbaker is the contractor for the $750,000 project. PennDOT expects the work to be completed in November.
