A video of the Prince and Princess of Wales on tour shows the couple doing something you probably hadn’t noticed before.

Following the shock announcement in March by the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) that she had cancer and was undergoing preventative chemotherapy, Prince William’s wife released a video on September 9 announcing that she had completed treatment and was “cancer free.”

This was good news for all the princess’s fans around the world, who were delighted by the video of her family, published on social networks accompanying her message.

But there’s another video that was posted a few days ago that’s also heartwarming and is also being seen by people all over the world. It shows the Prince and Princess of Wales doing something quite often that many royal watchers had never really noticed before. It’s also something that Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have always done.

What William and Kate do throughout the video is something the Sussxes always do

The one-minute, four-second video, posted to X (formerly Twitter) on September 1, has been viewed more than 60,000 times and liked 2,000 times so far. It features a montage of clips of William and Kate at various engagements and events together. The song playing over the video is The Bangles’ 1988 hit “Eternal Flame” and the caption reads: “Marry your best friend like Prince William and Catherine did.”

As the pictures show, wherever they are, the prince and princess are always touching and showing affection. They even hold hands sometimes. Interestingly, over the years, Meghan and Harry have been criticized by some for being too affectionate when William and Kate do the same thing.

Video proves Wales are very tactile, but they’re just more discreet than Sussex and one expert says there’s a reason for that.

Body language expert Judi James told the Express: “[William and Kate’s]most tactile displays of affection include patting each other on the back or putting an arm around the other’s waist. These gestures reflect a high level of affection and attraction… As senior royals, they have inherited a tradition of not being as affectionate as when holding hands. The Queen and Philip rarely touched in public, apart from the occasional arm-hold, and King Charles tends to do the same.”

Fans react after watching William and Kate’s affectionate public video

Many fans were surprised after seeing all the public displays of affection between William and Kate, writing: “In some clips they are touchy feely. I’ve never noticed that before.”

Others gushed over the couple, posting: “Their love for each other shines brightly” and “I love the way they reassure, support and care for each other, but also in the subtle touches and shared glances, you can see that the (fire) still burns between them.”

Some said they thought William and Kate were not only “best friends” but also “soulmates” and commented: “What a beautiful message… It brought tears to my eyes. If you are lucky enough in life to meet your soulmate, you are truly blessed.”
