KSP Investigates Attempted Murder in Wayne County

WAYNE COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) – Kentucky State Police said they were called just before 11 p.m. Saturday for reports of a shooting on Winchester Road in Wayne County.

According to Kentucky State Police, Chase Jackson, 25, was involved in a verbal fight with his mother, Audrey Jackson, 50, and grandmother Savana Brock, 94. All three are believed to be from Monticello.

Chase Jackson reportedly fired a gun into the house, hitting both his mother and grandmother.

The victims were transported to the Wayne County Airport by Wayne County EMS. They were then flown to the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital.

Both men are said to be in critical condition.

Chase Jackson was reportedly found walking on Interstate 90 in Wayne County.

Kentucky State Police report he was taken into custody at the Wayne County Detention Center and charged with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of first-degree assault.

The incident is being investigated by Kentucky State Police, London Post 11.
