The Pixel 9 Pro Fold takes your Meet video calls to the next level

Google Meet has also given the Pixel 9 Pro Fold a new lease of life, as it now supports simultaneous use of both the front and rear cameras. This feature, dubbed “Dual Screen on Meet,” allows Pixel 9 Pro Fold owners to activate both selfie cameras during a call. However, this feature will only work if the call has already started.

Google recently announced this update among others for Google Chat and Sheets. With this new feature, meeting participants will be broadcast to both indoor and outdoor screens so everyone can see the call.

If you tap the controls during a call, you’ll see an icon. This makes it super easy to enable dual-screen and dual-display, which can be turned off if you want. Once enabled, Google Meet splits the screen, showing the video on one side and your surroundings on the other.

During a video call, people will be able to see you and things around you through the Cover Display camera and, when open, the Inner Display cameras. This doesn’t use the Pixel 9 Pro Fold’s rear camera, but instead relies on both the Cover Display and Inner Display cameras. To understand more about how this works, please refer to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold support documentation.
