Arrest after the theft of products worth more than ,600 at ULTA

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A suspect was arrested over the weekend in connection with a June shoplifting incident involving four women and more than $5,500 worth of merchandise.

According to the arrest affidavit, Denisha Simmons, 41, and three other women entered ULTA near Thompson Lane and Powell Avenue around 5:30 p.m. on June 15. The women left the store with 51 items and 11 sensor tags.

The total value of the theft was $5,607, according to the Vanderbilt University Police Department.

Investigators identified Simmons through surveillance footage and she was arrested Sunday night. She is charged with robbery. It is unclear whether other women involved have been apprehended.
