“Rome is good, I guess,” Jepsen jokes in a photo with the “fake” Mona Lisa

Jepsen’s kiss with her future husband wouldn’t be the only way the “All That” singer has been smooching lately; she assured fans that “no fake Mona Lisas were harmed during the fake lipstick application” during her recent getaway to Rome!

The pop star also wrote in the caption of the photo: “Rome is good, I guess, if you like opera and carbonara and seeing things older than your brain can comprehend. Or if you like gelato and cobblestone streets that lead to little shops filled with cheese and salami! But if you don’t like those things, forget Rome and keep it for me, please, because I’m a big fan of all the above.”

The “Bad Thing Twice” singer isn’t just known for keeping fans up to date on the festive and touristy details of her life. The Blast took a look at Jepsen’s inspiration for “The Loveliest Time” upon its release.

Jepsen revealed that the 2022 release was “a lifelong investigation that I’ve been doing into my relationship with loneliness,” in an interview with The Cut.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, the “Joshua Tree” singer said of the inspiration for the record: “It’s a little bit more about ownership…”

Jepsen continued: “I figured it out. I know what’s right, what’s wrong, what’s ugly and everything. You learn from those lessons, you learn from them, but you go back out into the big wide world and you’re ready to face it.”
