Brittany Furlan: The images she shared of the coyote with one of her dogs

  • Tommy Lee’s wife Brittany Furlan has shared chilling footage showing her saving their beloved puppy Neena from a coyote attack at their California home.

  • “I climbed up the wall and grabbed her by her mouth,” the social media personality recalled of the incident.

  • Furlan assured fans that Neena was “fine” after the attack and had eaten some treats at home

Brittany Furlan managed to save her beloved dog Neena from a terrifying coyote attack.

On Tuesday, September 24, Furlan, 38, who is married to Mötley Crüe rocker Tommy Lee, shared a video on Instagram showing the animal grabbing the dachshund from the pool before immediately running after him, howling.

The entire scene was caught on a home security camera, with Lee, 61, running outside to see what was wrong after Furlan managed to save the dog.

“Neena is safe. I climbed the wall and grabbed her from his mouth. Thank God she’s a little big because he couldn’t get over the wall with her,” Furlan captioned the clip.

“If it was Teenie, she would be gone. It’s broad daylight at 1pm. They’re getting more and more brazen and hungry. Be careful. I don’t even let the dogs out anymore. It’s ridiculous. Hold your babies tight,” she added.

“Disclaimer: I was letting the dogs out to pee and watching them when a coyote came and grabbed Neena in broad daylight,” Furlan wrote in a text shared before the video.

“Be very careful with your dogs. I’ve lived here for four years and I’ve never seen a single coyote and today this happened. They are desperate,” Furlan added in the text.

In her Instagram stories, the social media personality revealed that Neena is doing well and enjoyed some treats offered by the neighbours at home.

“Thank you for all the love. We are doing well, thank God,” Furlan wrote alongside a video of the rescued puppy eating, adding a white heart and prayer emoji and saying in the clip that it had been a “scary day.”

Furlan told KNBC’s NBC 4 Los Angeles that the animal took their 10-year-old puppy from their San Fernando Valley, California, home. The outlet said the couple’s other dog, Teenie, managed to escape.

“I honestly didn’t even intend to do the interview because I was so shaken up,” she told the outlet, but added that she did it because there was an “important message” to share.

“You know, you get lazy and you think, ‘It’s okay, it’s 1 o’clock, nothing’s going to happen,’ and that’s what happens. Sometimes you get too comfortable and I was standing in the doorway, thank God I’m still watching them,” she continued.

Furlan said at first she thought the coyote was the neighbor’s dog that had escaped, before realizing what it was.

“It all happened so fast,” she said, adding that their wall is 10 feet high and she had lived in the house for four years and had never seen a coyote in the backyard.

“It just goes to show that this can happen at any time,” Furlan told the outlet, confirming that she believes the puppy is “pretty upset” but is uninjured and does not appear to have any bites or puncture wounds.

“I don’t even know if she realizes how terrible it was,” Furlan continued, saying Neena continued to “play and eat.”

“It was a crazy experience,” the star later said, insisting she was just “grateful” she was able to get to her dog in time.
