Olympian Sharlene Mawdsley enjoys relaxing trip to Greece

Sharlene Mawdsley, the Olympian who made us proud by breaking a national record with a sensational time of 49.14 seconds in the 4x400m relay in Paris, is finally taking a break.

The 26-year-old, who fought back tears in August after admitting she was “pretty devastated” to come fourth in an emotional interview with David Gillick, appears happier than ever in Greece.

The track star shared photos from her travels on her Instagram Story, including a shot of the Louis Vuitton designer store and stunning shots by the harbor.

Sharlene also shared a photo of herself posing in a black bikini in the pool, making us wish we were on vacation, and also that we looked like that!

It’s unclear who the runner is currently on vacation with, but let’s hope they keep up the good work as photographers so we can continue to live vicariously through her.

The speedy athlete grew up in Newport, County Tipperary, and is a proud representative of the town’s titular athletics club.

Outside of Ireland, Sharlene has represented her country on some of the biggest tracks, allowing her to travel all over the world.

The 26-year-old regularly shares photos of her jet-setting lifestyle on Instagram. She has travelled to Bratislava in Slovakia, Corfu in Greece, the Netherlands and many other countries around the world.

The team that competed at the 2024 Olympics alongside Sharlene consisted of Sophie Becker, Rhasidat Adeleke and Phil Healy.
