Mercedes Moné Can’t Wait to Smoke and Watch ‘Mr. McMahon’ on Netflix

Back when she was in WWE as Sasha Banks, Mercedes Moné referred to Vince McMahon as her “best friend.” Even though McMahon wasn’t in the company at the time, he I received a thank you message Mercedes when his WWE contract expired in early 2023.

But she also clashed with McMahon creatively. It made her final years in WWE frustrating and, by all indications, led to her and Naomi leaving WWE in 2022 and eventually leaving the company. Her struggles to get time off to film her role in the Disney+ TV series The Mandalorian probably also comes from Vince.

Given what appears to be a complicated relationship, how does the boss-turned-CEO plan to integrate into Netflix’s new documentary series? Mr. McMahonwhich will chronicle the life, career and various scandals of the disgraced former WWE Chairman? She revealed the answer to that question during a press conference for AEW Grand Slam earlier today (September 24).

During an interview with New York sports radio station WFAN Sports Radio, Moné was asked what it was about. Mr. McMahon backstage at AEW. She responded:

“I haven’t talked to anybody. I stay in my locker room, I stay in my lane. But all I know is I’m going to have a joint, I’m going to get some wine and I’m going to watch Netflix. I can’t wait.”

Mercedes, who said she had not seen McMahon’s statement about the docuseries, was asked about it and explained:

“I’m Snoop Dogg’s cousin. It’s in my blood. It runs through my veins.”

She also said:

“I’m a professional wrestler and THC helps me tremendously with my inflammation, and gives me inspiration. It helps me recover.”

No matter what state you plan to be in when you watch, all six episodes of Mr. McMahon will be released on Netflix tomorrow (September 25).
