Bryan-College Station Junior League Announces New Fundraiser – WTAW

The Bryan-College Station Junior League announces a new fundraiser, Bet on the Brazos.

“Our theme is Casino-Inferno because we are hosting it in an old fire station,” explains Kim Sailor, vice president of communications.

The game night, which includes blackjack and poker tables, will be held in the newly renovated Visit College Station building across the street from City Hall. Sailor says this event replaces the annual Junior League charity ball.

“It used to be that the charity ball was the only game in town, so to speak, and now it seems like more and more organizations are having some sort of gala or ball. We wanted to do something different,” says Sailor.

Sailor says profits will continue to support the league’s flagship project, Stuff the Bus.

Brazos betting takes place on Saturday, November 9.
