EKU Announces Location of New Model Laboratory School

RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) – Eastern Kentucky University announced that the Model Laboratory School will be moved to a new location.

The school is currently located at 929 Lancaster Avenue in Richmond, Kentucky.

The new location will be located on the south side of the EKU campus, around the Leslie Leach driving range and the Big E parking lot on Kit Carson Drive.

EKU President David McFaddin says the new facilities will provide new opportunities for model students. It will also improve the training of those studying to become teachers.

Construction is expected to begin next summer on the nearly $150 million project funded by the legislature.
