Fans Are Strictly Baffled By The Same Ahead Of Week 2

Strictly Come Dancing has only just returned to our TV screens in all its glittering glory, but already fans are worried about the contestants ahead of week two.

The hit series made its big return last weekend after weeks of scandal with the new celebrities taking to the dance floor for the first time with their professional partners.

Aired on Tuesday, the show revealed the songs and dance styles the stars will be adopting in week two, an eyebrow-raising choice.

EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick and dancer Michelle Tsiakkas were tasked with doing the Rumba from Bill Withers’ Ain’t No Sunshine in week two – no small feat!

The rumba is notoriously a difficult dance to master – especially early in the competition – and several fans of the show have shared their thoughts on its inclusion early in the series.

“Way too early for a Rumba guys come on,” one person wrote while another said: “Rumba week 2?” They are surely setting them up for quick failure.

A third person said: “The rumba in week two is brutal…but it’s a good song choice.”

Someone else shared their thoughts, suggesting that rumba should be kept around once the celebrities have warmed up to the show a bit.

They wrote: “I really think they should start asking everyone to do the same dances for a week and a half so it’s easier to see the level of the group before moving on to all the other dances .”

Week two’s dance revelations come after Jamie spoke with The Mirror about the differences between taking part in the main series of Strictly and the Christmas special, which he won.

He said: “I was very quickly touched by their difference, and they are so different. Nancy (Xu) and I worked hard on our routine but it was really fun and light, whereas this time, of course, it’s fun, but it’s a little more, it’s the main show, every dance is different.

Bring on week two of Strictly!
