Nike Releases Animated VOLTRON-Inspired Promo for Nigo Air Force 3 Sneakers

Nike goes full anime in a new promotional spot released to promote its new Air Force 3, designed by Japanese fashion designer Nigo. As you’ll see, they have a wild anime feel.

The animated promo introduces us to a whole new universe for the unique shoes, set to release later this month, and it’s heavily inspired by Voltron.

Nigo spoke about his partnership with Nike, saying: “Nike truly has many masterpieces. Air Force 3 is a hidden masterpiece that I remember loving back in the day.

“Through my first collaboration with Nike, I want to reintroduce everyone to their magnificence. When I decided to work with Nike, I went to Nike’s global headquarters and took a lot of inspiration from the archives, the laboratory and the team that worked there.

“Everything I saw had a big influence on the project. There’s still a lot more to come, so look forward to the Nike and Nigo project. This is the start of a long and exciting journey.”
