Denver police arrest Dakotah Lulei on suspicion of murder

Denver police arrested a man Saturday on suspicion of second-degree murder in connection with the Friday death of the suspect’s roommate.

Police arrested Dakotah Lulei, 28, after an autopsy of his roommate revealed “internal injuries consistent with significant trauma,” the department said in a news release Sunday. Lulei is being held on suspicion of second-degree murder and second-degree assault.

When police responded to a medical emergency Friday evening in the 5200 block of Vasquez Boulevard North, the emergency was initially considered a possible overdose, according to the news release.
