Victims’ caption criticizes doctors’ decision to remove

Victim legend Catherine Shipton criticized the BBC’s decision to remove Doctors.

The cancellation of the daytime soap opera was announced last year, after more than 23 years on the air. The channel attributed the “very difficult decision” to funding issues, explaining: “The cost of the program has increased significantly.”

As Doctors approaching its last episode in December, old Victim Star Shipton is set to appear in his third role in the series.

She added: “I didn’t want to talk about it on set because you’re there to do a job, but I had a few discussions with people on QT and it was a real blow to everyone.”

The role will see her reunite with Sophie Austin (who will play Sandra Horner), as Austin once played Shipton’s stepdaughter in Victim.
