Enjoy free, family-friendly events this fall at the McKinney Public Library

The McKinney Public Library is gearing up for a fall season filled with free events and celebrations for people of all ages.

The library hosts special programs and events at both the Roy & Helen Hall Memorial Library in downtown McKinney and the John & Judy Gay Library in west McKinney.

In addition to providing entertainment and education, these events create an opportunity to introduce library services to people who may never have used the library before.

“The library really likes to think of itself as the center of the community,” said librarian Jenna Norris. “We really try to be a gathering space for everyone, but in terms of special events, we really see this as our best opportunity for us to connect with guests in a new and unexpected way and to reach people who may not be our own. traditional library users.

Here’s a look at what the McKinney Public Library has to offer this season:

There is so much more happening between events and programs and so many new and modern resources. It’s all about creating a sense of community and giving people things to do. It’s just a great way to connect.
