The San Francisco 49ers were eager for a turnaround after suffering back-to-back losses, which left them with a 1-2 record in the standings. They found that momentum on Sunday by decisively beating the New England Patriots 30-13 at Levi’s Stadium.

“It feels good to get a win,” defensive end Nick Bosa said after the game. “It’s such a long year. If you looked from an outsider’s perspective or looked online, you would think the building was burning.”

Last week, Bosa candidly admitted to having trouble sleeping as he reflected on the team’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams. To make matters worse, the 49ers learned they would have to move forward without defensive tackle Javon Hargrave. Additionally, defensive tackle Jordan Elliott, already questionable due to a foot injury, left Sunday’s game with a knee injury.

As the team prepared for Week 4, Bosa delivered a clear message to his teammates: He has unwavering confidence in the remaining healthy players.

“I told the guys, I told the D-line guys in our meeting last night that we lost a few guys, but I haven’t lost confidence in this group at all, and that’s is the truth,” Bosa said. “So I think everything will be fine.”

The defensive line finished the game with six sacks. When asked if there was increased intensity during last week’s practices due to a sense of urgency, Bosa noted that they had performed well on the practice field all season .

“It’s just about bringing it to the game, and I think we did that today,” Bosa commented.

Bosa entered the game with two sacks for the season and recorded his third against the Patriots. As the game progressed, he wondered if he could bring down quarterback Jacoby Brissett. Although he came close several times, he was unable to complete the piece.

“It looked bleak, but you just have to be ready,” Bosa remarked. “You have to be ready to take your (opportunity). And I had a few. I missed a lot, but I thought we had a great day as a D-line and we got a win , so that’s all that matters.”

There wasn’t much joy coming from the 49ers locker room after their 27-24 loss to the Rams on Sunday, understandably. The loss was one of the ugliest in recent memory for the 49ers, who took a 14-0 first-quarter lead over a short-handed Rams team that was…
