David St. Hubbins could have been discussing the justice system in Canada and the US

Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon would find kinship with the Canadian justice system’s apparatchiks who never seem to meet a criminal they haven’t liked.

Gascon rode a tidal wave of dough supplied by lefty billionaire and Democratic Party mega-donor George Soros. Across the US, Soros’ cash put woke DA’s in place in Philly, San Francisco, St. Louis, New York and Chicago. No coincidence that these towns have seen their crime rates spiral out of control.

Most are gone now, voted out or recalled for incompetence. Gascon — who has fought off two recall efforts — is again in the spotlight, undeterred from his critical mission.

When first elected in 2020, the snow-haired snowflake’s first edict was that no crime committed by a juvenile — no matter how heinous or violent — would be transferred to adult court.

So it stands to reason that one LA gangbanger loves Gascon so much he stated he was going to get a tattoo of the soft-on-crime DA on his arm. In Canada, an aspiring gangster would opt for an inked portrait of one of our esteemed judges.

This brings us to Shanice Dyer — a member of the East Coast Crips whose street name is Infant Chyna — who was charged with premeditated murder in 2019 by Gascon’s predecessor, Jackie Lacey.

She would be tried for the double murder of two innocent men who had zero ties to the gang world.

One was expecting father Alfredo Garcia, the other was recently hired NASA scientist Jose Flores.

But when Gascon tried the young killer, he was as a juvenile. She got four years and served less.

Now, 22 and just months after being released our young heroine has been charged with aiding and abetting in the slaying of Joshua Streeter, 21.

“George Gascon refuses to take responsibility for the fact that his policies have led to this murder. “He hides behind explanations that don’t make sense,” retired LA County Deputy DA Kathy Cady said.

“Gascon’s reform aimed to rehabilitate and give people a second chance, but since the incident, no one has ever reached out to the victims. No one has ever asked, ‘What can we do for you?’”

Cops light Dyer shot her latest victim in the back at a swap meet. Even Gascon’s prosecutors have publicly called the loopy lawyer a threat.

“Dyer, who should have been incarcerated for life, was free thanks to Gascón’s policies and now another family is grieving the loss of their loved one,” the LA Association of Deputy District Attorneys said in a statement.

As for Gascon? He released a statement doubling down on his decisions that cost another young man his life.

“Our hearts break for the victim and his family. This is an unimaginable tragedy. However, it is very unlikely that Ms. Dyer would have been transferred under any administration,” his office said, adding that the young killer was “under the influence of adult men” and “acted at their direction.”

But the hourglass is almost empty for Gascon. On Nov. 5, he faces a reelection battle when even George Soros’ millions will be useless.

A USC-CSU Long Beach and Cal Poly Pomona poll released Monday revealed the incumbent is trailing challenger Nathan Hochman by 24 points.

Gascon is discovering “It’s such a fine line between stupid, and clever.”
