Metro bus catches fire in Laredo, leading to street closures

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) – A Metro bus caught fire around noon on Tuesday, October 1.

It happened on Flores Avenue and Houston Street, according to the Laredo Police Department.

Emergency crews are on scene and Houston Street is closed as they work to extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is still unknown.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area until the situation is resolved.
