The Dukes staff has offered three players since the beginning of August: Turner, Aaron Ekwere and Logan Johnson. The staff also offered six players throughout the month of July, three players in June and three players in May. One of the players who received an offer from the staff in May was Arness Lawson, who recently committed to the Dukes after taking an official visit.

Duquesne secures commitment from Ohio guard Arness Lawson

Playing for All-Ohio Red this summer on the Nike EYBL circuit, Lawson shined in his role. He ranked No. 10 in the circuit’s highest level of AAU ball in offensive efficiency among players with at least 16 possessions per game. Joined by Cam Boozer, AJ Dybantsa and other five-star prospects on the roster, Lawson made a good impression averaging 0.98 points per possession, per Synergy.
