Message inviting children and grandchildren to vote

Message inviting children and grandchildren to vote

Perhaps one day you will realize that just being able to vote is a privilege and freedom not found in many other countries.

Perhaps one day you will realize that access to clean water to drink and air to breathe must unfortunately be voted on and legislated.

Maybe one day you will realize that having the right to make decisions about your body is a right and should not be legislated by any government agency. Safe medical care is a right.

Maybe one day you will realize that health care and having enough to eat are fundamental rights that unfortunately need to be voted on and legislated.

Maybe one day you’ll realize that the United States needs to encourage legal immigration. These workers contribute to our economic growth and our solvency for programs like Social Security. They bring innovation and boost productivity.

Maybe one day you will realize that our country is part of a bigger whole and that we must be part of NATO and all other organizations that support freedoms and lead the way. Isolationism is harmful to our society.

Maybe today you will be mature enough to vote. You can go online to Vote.PA.gov, register to VOTE and request an absentee ballot or you can go to your county office or one of the satellite offices and obtain a ballot and vote directly, or you can vote in person at your designated polling place on November 5 between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Contact Montgomery County Voter Services at 610-278-3280 for further assistance.

Our country needs you to lead our future!
