Konami Uploaded Streaming Restrictions for Silent Hill 2 Remake

Konami Uploaded Streaming Restrictions for Silent Hill 2 Remake

Konami has updated its website to include streaming and publishing restrictions for the Silent Hill 2 remake. Although the guidelines are written as a sort of legal document or contract, they are fairly easy to understand.

For starters, even if you break any of the rules, you will have to comply with Konami if they ask you to remove your videos. People can post videos to Discord, Facebook, NicoNico, Mirrative, TikTok, YouTube and much more. However, these videos cannot infringe on third-party writings and Konami asks users not to overzealously edit them. This is so that viewers can understand the story. Additionally, users who upload content must not insult or defame specific individuals or groups.

Outside of monetization schemes on streaming sites like YouTube, people should not post videos for commercial purposes or advertising purposes. Konami also prohibits content offensive to public order and good morals, or including illegal information in videos. You also may not post videos of yourself using mods or mislead others into thinking that you are sponsored by Konami or others. Overall, the restrictions imposed on Silent Hill 2 remake are the standard guidelines that other companies like Atlus use to stream games or publish content.

Silent Hill 2 (2024) will be released on October 8, 2024 on PS5 and Windows PC.
