Suspect arrested after man shot in Fayette

FAYETTE, Miss. (WLBT) – Officers have arrested a man in connection with a shooting in Fayette.

A news release says the incident happened Sept. 21 on Main Street.

A man was shot, several vehicles were shot and an apartment building was damaged.

According to the release, Ronald Thompson, III, 25, was arrested on September 30.

He was later released on $40,000 bail after his initial appearance.

Authorities say more charges and arrests are pending.
