  • Teen arrested after shooting in Northeast DC

    Washington, D.C. – A teenager has been arrested in connection with a shooting in the Northeast.

    On Sunday, September 22, at 1:20 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1600 block of Benning Road, Northeast. Upon arrival, they found a young man with a gunshot wound, who was then transported to a local hospital for treatment.

    Detectives determined that two suspects were involved in an altercation with the victim inside an establishment. A suspect shot the victim as she tried to run away.

    On Monday, September 30, a 14-year-old juvenile from the Northeast was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon (pistol).
