Queens of the Stone Age announce new tour dates for 2025 following cancellation due to Josh Homme’s health

Queens of the Stone Age will return to the road next summer after canceling a series of concerts in 2024 due to unspecified health issues affecting singer/guitarist Josh Homme.

The band canceled eight shows on their End Is Nero tour so Homme could return to the United States for what was described at the time as “emergency surgery”; Seven other concerts at European festivals planned for August were then canceled due to health concerns.

Now, according to the band’s official tour website, Queens will be back on the road with the End Is Nero Tour next summer. Kicking off with two nights at MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston on June 10 and 11, the five-date tour will see the band play shows at Cincinnati’s Andrew J. Brady Music Center on June 18, with a stop in Madison. Breese Stevens Field in Madison, WI on June 20 and a show on June 21 at the Chicago Huntington Bank Pavilion.

At the time they canceled all of their 2024 shows, the band released a statement to X that read: “QOTSA regrets to announce the cancellation and/or postponement of all remaining 2024 shows. Josh no choice but to prioritize their health and receive essential medical care until the end of the year.

Homme has spoken openly about his health issues in the past, revealing in 2023 that he had undergone surgery for cancer after being diagnosed in 2022. Queens was on tour for much of 2024 (as well as late 2023) to support their eighth studio album. , In Times New Roman…
