14-year-old fatally injured in Magnolia; man arrested for murder

MAGNOLIA, Ark. (KSLA) – A teenager is dead and another person faces a murder charge in connection with the shooting.

Magnolia, Ark., Police responded to a call Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Magnolia Regional Medical Center regarding a 14-year-old boy with a gunshot wound. The minor later died.

The shooting happened around 6 p.m. Tuesday at a home on Bessie Street.

Police investigators later identified Marquil Lambert as the suspect and arrested him Wednesday, October 2, for second-degree murder.

Lambert is being held at the Columbia County Jail awaiting his initial appearance.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are not being released at this time.
