Deadpool’s ‘Brown Sky’ Ideas for New Disneyland Attractions – Orange County Register

Deadpool has pitched some ‘Brown Sky’ ideas to enhance Disneyland with his brand of comic book action and R-rated comedy following the success of his latest superhero film starring Wolverine and his recent crowded theme park appearances. ‘Anaheim.

The Merc with the Mouth pitched his proposals for new roller coasters, dark rides, nighttime shows and character meet-and-greets directly to Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro at the recent D23 Fan Expo in Anaheim.

“Let’s just do Brown Sky for a little bit,” Deadpool said from the Honda Center stage at D23 in August.

“It’s Blue Sky,” D’Amaro protested as he followed the comedy segment.

“Not when I’m done,” Deadpool said.

Deadpool’s offerings included the Chimichanga Coaster, named after one of his favorite foods.

“It’s a dueling roller coaster attraction where you’re the ox,” Deadpool told D23.

Deadpool’s Heck House would serve as a seasonal overlay on the haunted mansion – much like “The Nightmare Before Christmas” takes over Halloween and Christmas.

Riders passed through a “baby arm room” into a spooky room filled with bottles, pacifiers and rattles.

The ride’s overlay logo featured spiked bats, chainsaws, and gas cans.

Deadpool came up with an update to “Fantasmic” starring himself as the animatronic dragon Maleficent who caught fire during a performance.

Marvel’s wacky superhero has promised that Disneyland’s revamped Rivers of America nighttime show will “melt your mind”.

The morally ambiguous, mentally unstable and innuendo-laden anti-hero even came up with the idea for a new RunDisney event.

“If you like Princess Run and Villains Run, you can now prepare for Logan’s Run,” Deadpool told D23.

The Canadian-born professional killer and Nickelback defender planned to use the RunDisney event to demean his nemesis and “Deadpool & Wolverine” co-star.

Concept art for Logan’s Run showed a snail and a mother pulling a cart with three children dressed in Deadpool costumes moving faster than the sweaty mutant with retractable claws. Signs in the crowds lining the race course called Wolverine “the worst showman” and “a disappointment to Australia” – digs aimed at Wolverine star Hugh Jackman.

The Logan’s Run logo depicted a reclining Wolverine with a huge beer belly.

The Brown Sky presentation also included concept art of Deadpool dressing up as Aurora from Disney’s Sleeping Beauty in a pink princess dress – presumably for meet-and-greet opportunities with theme park visitors.

The final piece of concept art from Deadpool’s D23 presentation featured his distinctive red and black masked face at the center of a fireworks display – serving as the parks’ “goodnight kiss.”

D’Amaro wasn’t interested in Deadpool’s arguments.

“I appreciate anything, but the answer is no,” D’Amaro told D23. “That’s not going to happen.”

Walt Disney Imagineering later confirmed in the D23 presentation that none of Deadpool’s Brown Sky ideas were in Blue Sky’s development phase within the company’s secretive creative arm.

Hopefully, Imagineering has its own plans to introduce more of the ever-popular Deadpool to the Disney theme parks.

The “Story Time with Deadpool” show next to Disney California Adventure’s Avengers Campus drew packed crowds. Deadpool and Wolverine also participated in the “Awesome Dance Off” outside of Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout Fall Tower.
