Gen Z and Silent Generation investors doubled their investment in tech stocks last quarter

A recent survey by brokerage firm eToro found that Gen Z investors, as well as Silent Generation investors, increased their allocation to tech stocks by 20% last quarter.

Meanwhile, every other generation surveyed – including Millennials, Gen X and Baby Boomers – reduced their investments in technology over the same period.

Bret Kenwell, investment analyst at eToro, said some interesting findings came out of this survey. “What really stood out to me was the fact that we saw technology allocation increase significantly during the quarter for our youngest group, Generation Z, and our oldest group, Silent Generation. It’s very interesting to see such an evolution in such a diverse group,” he told MarketWatch.
